Our centre includes a residence, 16 Courts, international school, and a swimming pool, in addition to services such as sports medicine, physical therapy and a nutrition programme. The athletic facilities at the Bruguera Tennis Academy were designed to ensure that our students train competitively. To do so, we offer clay and GreenSet (hard) courts in order to provide players flexible training on either of the surfaces (depending on the tournament characteristics), a fully equipped gym, a field for additional activities such as football and basketball and an outdoor swimming pool (vital for endurance training and relaxation). To complement training, we also have a restaurant just for the players, with its own kitchen and meals prepared by a team of nutritionists, as well as a centre specialising in sports medicine and physical therapy. The education provided by the IMSE International School ensures that each student achieves excellence under one roof.
Intensive daily training sessions that help players reach their full potential. The Bruguera Tennis Academy strives to develop elite tennis players through a bespoke annual programme that adapts to the needs of each young person and runs the length of the academic year, from September to June. One of the annual programme’s main objectives is to combine intensive competition-based training geared towards helping each player reach their highest level of performance with a high-quality education programme in English and Spanish that follows Spain’s official curriculum for secondary and upper-secondary studies. The tennis and fitness programme varies depending on the needs and objectives of each player. Technical adjustment, tactical development and tournament participation are the cornerstones of what we do.
The academy offers weekly programmes for all levels and ages. The Bruguera Tennis Academy offers weekly high-performance programmes throughout the year for players of all levels and ages. These programmes adopt a bespoke approach that takes into account the needs of each player, who have the freedom to choose the duration and dates of their time at the Academy. Each player’s individual work plan takes into consideration the athlete’s needs, and targets are set and pursued in accordance with the player’s personal goals, individual characteristics and length of visit. Players will train alongside the annual programme students.
The summer camp has the intensity of the annual programme and adapts it to shorter weekly periods. Our summer camp is designed to help all players who sign up for this program to improve their level of tennis and to develop as people by combining sports training with language study in a cosmopolitan, professional setting. The summer camp consists of 16 hours of tennis sessions a week, 15 of fitness training. You can choose between language packs of 5h weekly or 3h weekly of English and/or Spanish classes. Participants are also given four meals a day, housing on the academy’s campus, health insurance, medical care and escorts to tournaments. The Bruguera Academy also helps parents interested in accompanying their children during the summer to find accommodation and organises guided tours in Barcelona and throughout Spain on request. The programs are reserved on a weekly basis and have a minimum duration of one week. Arrivals for residents are on Sundays and departures are on Saturdays. Non residents can arrive on Mondays mornings before 8:45 and leave on Friday after coaching.
