Abd-ur Khan
I am a Level 3 LTA Accredited+ coach, working at the club where I started my tennis journey aged 10. I have a wide range of experience working with juniors and adults of all ages and standards. As part of my role, I also deliver sessions on the inclusive tennis programme to visually impaired and those with special needs. My aim is to supplement the learnings from the LTA courses with the knowledge gained through my degree, to become an outstanding tennis coach who delivers high quality, professional coaching whilst placing enjoyment at the heart of the experience.

Education:
- Final year dissertation was titled: ‘Psychological strategies for juniors implemented by tennis coaches’
In addition to enjoying playing tennis socially and occasionally competitively, I’m interested in a range of sports from football to F1, but I have a real passion for cycling. Blessed with living on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, you’ll quite often find me out on my road bike, riding solo, with friends or family. Away from sport, I have a keen interest in art, design, and youth culture as well as an awareness of social media.

My daughter has been attending group and private sessions for 3 years now. My daughter loves each session and has learnt so much in the 3 years from Abd-ur, who is so dedicated and knowledgeable. My daughter is now playing in regular regional tournaments and loves it, none of this would have been possible without the support of Abd-ur.

My family and I started a beginner course run by Abd-ur 2 years ago, since then we all have private lessons and attend group sessions weekly. The sessions are fun and a great way to keep fit whilst also improving technique. We have all seen a huge improvement in our tennis development.
