About Me
Akash Ghai is an ATP-certified tennis professional and emerging racket sports leader with more than 15 years of playing experience and a proven record of helping players of all levels improve their technique, decision-making and overall game strategy. He has coached competitive, recreational and advanced players across the United States, Spain and the United Arab Emirates. He routinely contributes to program development, seasonal planning and calendar scheduling.
His leadership approach is service-oriented, highly organized and collaborative, with a focus on clear communication, reliable teamwork, consistent systems and creating positive environments where players, coaches and members feel supported and valued. He has been formally recognized as a Level 3 Coaching Specialist by the USTA (United States Tennis Association) and a Level-B certified coach by the GPTCA (Global Professional Tennis Coaches Association). Akash supports player development, program delivery and daily facility operations at one of the region’s leading tennis clubs. He provides individual and group instruction while taking the lead on adult and junior clinics, and has helped introduce new programming, including expanded weekend junior programs and adult Serve Clinics. In addition to coaching players of all ages and levels, Akash contributes to weekly scheduling, billing, client communication and court-utilization analysis to improve program efficiency and the overall member experience.
His leadership approach is service-oriented, collaborative and organized, with a focus on clear communication, reliable teamwork and creating positive environments for players, families and fellow coaches. Akash provided tailored group and individual instruction to players of all ages and skill levels at Galbraith Tennis Center. He took a leading role in delivering Skills and Drills sessions, helped train and support junior coaches in their lesson delivery, and contributed to the administrative planning and execution of special events. He also helped organize and run official junior circuit USTA tournaments, led special event activations and engagement initiatives along with the Head Pro, and worked with players and families from across the Pacific Northwest region.

I specialized in developing players of all ages and skill levels through tailored coaching programs while helping lead the operations of an international school tennis facility alongside another coach. I delivered individual and group lessons, created personalized training plans, monitored player progress and prepared athletes for competition. I worked as an independent contractor for MyTennisLessons in the Washington, D.C. area, coaching players across a wide range of ages and ability levels. This role strengthened my leadership, professionalism and client relationship skills, as I worked with more than 20 clients ranging from 8 to 45 years old and tailored lessons to each player’s needs. I also competed in the Men’s Tennis Leagues in the DMV area, which added to my experience as both a coach and active player.
