I am a dedicated tennis coach with over 20 years of experience, and tennis has always been more than just a career, it’s a true passion. I honed my skills both as a player and a coach in Kenya, where I first fell in love with the sport, and later in the UK, where I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of players, from beginners to high-performance athletes. My coaching philosophy is built on developing not only strong technical skills but also a love for the game that lasts a lifetime.
Outside of tennis, I’m an avid traveler and enjoy exploring new cultures and meeting people from around the world. I often combine my love for travel with my commitment to giving back, frequently visiting Kenya to set up tennis programs and provide equipment for children in underserved communities. In my free time, I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and discovering new hobbies that keep me inspired both on and off the court.
Experience
I have over 20 years of coaching experience across multiple aspects of tennis, ranging from player development to tennis operations and talent evaluation. My journey began in Kenya, where I gained firsthand experience both as a player and a coach, working with juniors and adults to develop their skills and passion for the game. Over the years, I have refined my coaching techniques at leading clubs in the UK, including David Lloyd and Tudor Grange Leisure Centre, where I currently serve as a Senior Tennis Coach.
I specialize in high-performance coaching, with a focus on creating tailored development plans that help players of all ages reach competitive levels. I’ve coached several junior players to county and national rankings and led the introduction of new programs that have increased participation and engagement. Alongside technical and tactical training, I am committed to fostering a love for tennis in every player I work with, ensuring that they not only improve but also enjoy the process.
I’ve also organized and managed club events, from tournaments to social tennis programs, and regularly mentor other coaches. My international experience, including working with the Kenyan Davis Cup team, gives me a unique perspective on player development and the competitive mindset required to excel.
