Brenton J. Barker

Shiga
Japan

Im an Australian world-class tennis coach and long-term athlete development specialist who has held some of the most prestigious leadership roles in the game.

I was hand-selected as the Inaugural Manager of Tennis Australia’s $20 million National High-Performance Center, assuming full operational accountability for the country’s flagship facility and national strategy.

I served as Head of National Pathways and International Sports Advisor for Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), directing tennis development systems across every level and overseeing operations at the nation’s premier sports science precinct.

I was also appointed Manager of High Performance at Johan Kriek International Academy – the academy of the two-time Grand Slam champion – where I designed and led elite player pathways in one of the world’s most respected high-performance environments. These elite appointments have given me unmatched expertise in developing talented juniors into professionals.

As Founder and CEO of Team Rising Sun Academy in Japan, I built structured long-term athlete development (LTAD) pathways that produced 10 professional titles and 5 Junior National Champions. At Asahi University, I transformed the tennis program from Division 4 to Division 1 in four years, establishing the university’s first comprehensive high-performance framework.

For eight years, I served on the Dunlop/Adidas International Advisory Board, where I contributed directly to national talent identification and the design of the junior-to-pro pathways, including the strategic delivery of national high-performance camps.

My three best-selling books on junior athlete development have become the definitive guide for coaches and federations seeking proven, results-driven LTAD systems — the same methodologies I have refined and deployed at the highest levels of the sport for over 25 years.

I do not simply coach tennis. I design complete player pathways that deliver technically sound, mentally resilient, and physically robust professionals who win at the highest level.

Federations, academies, professionals, and serious junior players who demand the absolute best in long-term tennis development know where to come.

If you are ready to build or elevate a championship pathway that actually works, I am the expert you hire.
