The game of tennis brings out my compassion for the sport. It allows me to share my wealth of skills with all levels of tennis players. I started my career as a Ball-Boy at Limbe Country Club, Blantyre Malawi at the tender age of nine. I proceeded to play at junior level and went on to represent Malawi.

My coaching career began by volunteering to coach in underprivileged communities in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2018. I was then invited to Israel to do coaching in September 2022 to date.

My passion is teaching the sport of tennis to those who share my passion and resilience. I hope to make an impact in the lives of those that I encounter, not only in the professional sense but in the cultural sense as well. I hope to see others find joy through the sport of tennis both physically and mentally.

I speak fluent English and am willing to learn a new language, if required. I now have a very good vocabulary of Hebrew that has been self-taught since being in Israel.

I am dedicated hardworking individual driven to coach tennis.

My travelling from Africa to Asia (Israel) has offered me the opportunity to build better confidence and experience.

I am a development tennis and padel coach.
I coach all levels from beginner, intermediate to advanced.
I coach players of all ages. This allows me to connect, communicate and alter my coaching style to suit each person’s level.
I am able to promote a competitive, safe, productive and student centred environment where each player is able to be individually recognized and still have the whole team thrive.
I bring a diverse set of skills and coaching style that is focused on both the individual and the team.
I endeavour to develop a safe and happy environment for all children to enhance their skills.
My goal is not to isolate or weaken the confidence of a player. Instead, it is to build a player with steady methods and consistent practice.

We found Carlos on social media (Facebook) where he addressed himself as a community tennis coach who collects kids from the streets of communities and teaches them tennis. All, without a pay and he was requesting for just donations, We decided to give him a surprise visit and find him coaching kids without the proper documents. He was also using tennis courts which had no nets. The kids were practicing without shoes and he had only a few rackets and few balls. The kids were very happy and enjoying tennis. We were very attached with his initiative of helping the community with tennis. I then spoke to the chairperson to get involved in his program. At that time, Tennis South Africa decided to send Carlos to the coaching course to get his proper coaching documents. After attending and finished his play and stay course, he went the extra mile to work with other big coaches in Johannesburg and Pretoria and change kids 039; tennis in south Africa.

I saw some kids walking on the street carrying tennis rackets, I stopped and asked them about their tennis coach. After getting his details we invited Carlos for interview, and he told us about his involvement in the community. We were very pleased to hear that his mandate was to remove all small kids who were gathering on the streets of community and do crime and introduce tennis to them; without pay. We decided to offer him and the kids to practice by our club so that we as well look and help the kids with some meals, etc. After some weeks we saw a very large group of kids coming to practice.
