- Worked as Fumin Jiang’s full-time performance coach, travelling with him to ITF events and overseeing training blocks in China, followed by competition at ITF events, including Lu’an.
- During this period, the focus was on developing Fumin’s physical condition and building a more robust and resilient body capable of handling the demands of professional tennis while reducing the risk of injury and physical strain. A structured training and competition schedule was implemented with a strong emphasis on injury prevention, recovery, and maintaining physical performance throughout consecutive weeks of competition. Fumin remained injury-free and experienced no significant physical issues during this period.
- In a short period of time, Fumin successfully collected 2 ATP ranking points, demonstrating continued progress and consistency as he developed into a stronger and more competitive match player.
- A significant achievement came through competing in two consecutive weeks in Turkey at approximately 2,500 metres of altitude. Fumin successfully adapted to the challenging environmental conditions, qualified through the qualifying stages on both occasions, and reached a doubles final. Managing the physical demands of consecutive weeks of competition, with limited opportunity for rest and recovery due to a consistent schedule of matches, demonstrated significant progress in his physical preparation, resilience, and ability to perform under demanding conditions.
- Another important milestone was achieving the goal of putting Fumin on track to compete at the Asian Games in September, while continuing his progression towards becoming a full-time professional tour player.
- The primary objective of the coaching period was to successfully transition Fumin from ITF Junior competition to the ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour. This transition began positively, with a carefully structured schedule designed to provide continuous, consistent, and productive competition. The period established an important foundation for Fumin’s development as he continues to build experience, ranking points, physical resilience, and the competitive skills required to progress successfully on the professional tour.
