With over 12 years of full-time coaching across the UK, USA, and Caribbean, I have consistently grown programmes, developed athletes from grassroots to competitive levels, and represented tennis businesses with professionalism and integrity.

My coaching philosophy is rooted in inclusivity and holistic development—assessing technical, tactical, and psychological aspects while fostering resilience, confidence, and enjoyment of the game. Whether guiding juniors into the right pathway, supporting performance squads in competition, or engaging recreational players, I adapt my approach to unlock potential at every stage.

About Me

Hi, thanks for visiting my profile! My name is Jack Gill, and I’ve been a full-time tennis coach for nearly 12 years. My journey into coaching began after completing a First-Class degree in Sports Psychology at the University of Bristol, where I developed a deep understanding of the mental side of performance—something I now integrate into every lesson.

My passion for racket sports started at the age of five, with some of my earliest memories spent on court. As a junior, I competed in tennis, squash, and table tennis to a high standard, achieving county level in both tennis and squash. That early love of competition shaped my drive to help others unlock their potential through coaching.

I began my professional career at Temple Fortune Club in London in 2014, quickly progressing from assistant coach to senior coach. Over nearly a decade there, I delivered lessons across all ages and abilities, grew membership numbers, supported competitive squads, and helped build a thriving, welcoming tennis community.

Seeking broader experience, I undertook an internship at ZMG Tennis Academy in Florida in 2015, working alongside tour-level coaches and assisting in the training of professional players—including future stars like Coco Gauff. This exposure to elite coaching environments sharpened my skills and reinforced my commitment to player development at every level.

In 2017, I expanded my international experience with a seasonal coaching role in the Caribbean, before returning to the UK to continue building my career. Most recently, I served as Assistant Head Coach at Mahony Tennis in Wiltshire, where I helped grow membership from 100 to over 175, mentored junior coaches, delivered diverse programmes such as Cardio Tennis and Tennis Xpress, and drove racket sales and restringing services.

Across all my roles, I’ve embraced an inclusive coaching philosophy—tailoring sessions to each player’s needs, fostering resilience and confidence, and ensuring tennis is both accessible and enjoyable. I believe in developing the whole athlete: technically, tactically, and mentally.

I am now looking to take the next step in my career, ideally in a head or senior coaching role, where I can combine my passion for racket sports, my international experience, and my commitment to player development to make a lasting impact.
