Playing Career:
As a junior, I competed at the highest national level, consistently ranking among the top 5–10 players in Slovakia across all age categories up to 18 and winning multiple regional championships. This experience gave me a deep understanding of the resilience, work ethic, and mental strength required in competitive tennis—qualities I now integrate into my coaching to help players reach their full potential.
About Me
High-performance tennis coach with over 10 years of experience in luxury 5-star resorts and prestigious academies worldwide. I have successfully developed national team juniors in Cyprus and Prague, collaborated with ITF/WTA players, and worked with Marcos Baghdatis Academy.
Strong sales and promotional skills – in Dubai I grew lesson bookings from zero to over 40 per week through targeted marketing and client relationships. I combine technical expertise with a deep interest in psychology and empathy, helping players improve not only their game but also their mindset and confidence.
I am purposeful, communicative, ambitious and persistent, with a genuine passion for coaching, strong willingness to learn and accept change. In my free time I enjoy nature and continue to develop my understanding of psychology.
Beyond the court, I have developed strong sales and client‑management skills that complement my coaching expertise. Working in luxury hotels, tennis academies, and freelance environments taught me how to read people, build trust quickly, and present services in a way that feels natural and client‑centred. Whether engaging VIP guests or introducing tennis programmes to new visitors, I learned that effective promotion comes from genuine connection and consistent follow‑through.
My ability to communicate, negotiate, and manage relationships was further strengthened by experience outside tennis. During career breaks between coaching roles, I worked in the financial sector—specifically in banking, insurance, non‑banking companies, and FOREX. These roles sharpened my analytical thinking, discipline, and ability to explain complex information clearly while handling client objections professionally. They also gave me a deeper appreciation for structured processes, accountability, and delivering results in fast‑paced environments.
Combining this background with my coaching expertise, I bring a rare mix of technical tennis knowledge, operational reliability, and sales capability. I know how to grow lesson volumes, enhance guest satisfaction, and elevate a tennis programme’s reputation—skills that have consistently helped me build thriving programmes wherever I have worked.
Experience
Experience:
With more than a decade of international experience, I have built a career that seamlessly combines elite player development, luxury hospitality service, and operational leadership. My own journey as a competitive junior—consistently ranked among the top 5–10 players in Slovakia and a multiple‑time regional champion—gave me first‑hand insight into the discipline and mental strength required to succeed. Today, that foundation shapes my coaching philosophy and my ability to connect with players of all levels, from aspiring competitors to discerning guests in premium resorts.

I’ve known Jakub since we were kids, as we trained together in the same club in Slovakia. We didn’t see each other for a long time because each of us went our own tennis path. After a long while, Jakub contacted me saying he was planning to come home for the holidays and asked if I’d like to play a match. I was happy to accept, because I know what a hard worker and great talent he is. The match was at a very good level – Jakub played confidently from the start and it was a great battle on court, just like old times. I can wholeheartedly recommend Jakub because I know what he’s like both as a tennis coach and as a person, and I know he has a lot to offer his students.

My daughter Lety, who regularly plays ITF tournaments, started sparring with Jakub last summer. Since we are happy with these sparring sessions and with Jakub’s game, Lety trains with him twice a week whenever she is not at a tournament. I can easily recommend Jakub’s sparring.

I started training with Jakub half a year ago. I was returning to tennis after a seven‑year break and none of my former playing partners were interested, so I found a coach. I’m 43 and not in top shape, so I didn’t expect much. I have to say that in six months I’ve made huge progress – I basically learned more than in all my previous years. Even my serve, which I never managed before, is starting to work. Jakub really knows how to explain technique, body and racquet positioning, and on top of that he tries various drills and movement exercises with me. It’s not just about hitting the ball for an hour. He also advised me on choosing a new racquet, because my old one didn’t suit my playing style. So from me, definitely two thumbs up!

I decided to return to tennis after about 8 years. Several coaches responded to my ad, and after trying a few, the choice was clear – Jakub. Smooth training sessions with a friendly, likeable and, above all, proactive approach, plus easy communication . For anyone hesitating, I can only recommend him.
