My name is Jordan Parker, and I’ve had the privilege of coaching tennis for 16 years. Over the course of my career, I’ve held leadership roles such as Head Pro, Assistant Director, and Director, while also working with ITF players and ATP/WTA camps.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, I’m grateful to have learned from a variety of experienced coaches, including Jeff Etterbeek (ATP #290), Steve Herdoiza (ATP #281), Steve Campbell (ATP #78), Ricky Brown (ATP #215), Amy Frazier (WTA #13), and my father, Ronald Parker, an ATP coach.
My coaching journey began as a pro assistant coach for 5 years, learning discipline, structure, and how to run successful lesson plans. I then took on my first leadership role as Head Pro at my father\\\’s summer camps, managing 25-30 kids for 8 years. In 2021, I became Head Pro at Paul Tudor Jones’ properties, focusing on social tennis for his family and guests. In 2023, I had the honor of being part of Taylor Townsend’s coaching team and coaching Alycia Parks to her career-high WTA #44 ranking. That year was one of the most enriching experiences of my career, as I had the opportunity to work closely with ATP and WTA pros, and even coach at all four Grand Slams and various ATP/WTA tournaments, including Masters 1000s, 500s, and 250s.
Throughout my journey, I’ve always had a deep passion for coaching. It was how I funded my own playing career, where I achieved ATP singles ranking of #793 and a top 1000 doubles ranking. I’m 31 years old now and still play at a high level, possibly better than I did when I was actively competing on tour.
In 2024, I served as Assistant Director at Cary Leeds Tennis Center, focusing on high-performance juniors and adults, and successfully ran training programs while leading the coaching staff. That summer, I worked as Head Pro/Director in the Hamptons, overseeing men’s and women’s clinics as well as junior groups across 10 properties from West Hampton to Montauk.
Currently, I’m the Head Pro at a club in Guangzhou, China, where I’m working with a talented group of ITF boys and girls.
I’m excited about the future and the opportunity to continue helping players develop their skills, while sharing the lessons I’ve learned over the years.
Qualifications
Extensive Coaching Experience, Skilled in coaching and managing players at all levels, from young juniors to high- performance athletes. Including developing and running group classes from 20 to 50 players, ensuring players receive proper instruction and that staff is well prepared to deliver effective coaching.
Proven success in training and hitting with Top ATP and WTA players at tournaments, with a strong understanding of the demands of the professional circuit. Even coaching some of the elite family in the world for social tennis having fun.
