I began my tennis career at a young age in Turkey and, by the age of 12, I had reached the finals of the Nike Junior ITF Tournament. Even as a player, I always had a deep desire to become a coach, focusing not only on my own development but also on learning how to guide others.
During my time at Manisa Celal Bayar University, I honed my skills with a scientific approach to tennis performance, working with athletes of various age groups on both technical development and conditioning.
In addition to my competitive experience, I led several youth tennis projects at an early age, managing teams and helping introduce tennis to hundreds of children through various community programs. After advancing my professional development in Turkey, I moved to China to gain international experience, where I continue to contribute to the growth of young tennis athletes.
Beyond tennis, I’ve worked with athletes in other sports, deepening my expertise in conditioning and sports health. My hobbies include cycling, swimming, and hiking, and I have a passion for learning about different cultures and languages. These interests not only enrich my life but also enhance the connections I build with my athletes, helping me better understand and guide them.
Experience
ATİK Tennis Club, Turkey – Head Performance Coach
Date: 2021] – 2023
ATİK Tennis Club is one of Turkey’s most established clubs, having nurtured athletes for over 50 years, including the development of the first two Turkish tennis players ranked among the world’s best. Taking on the role of head coach here was a pivotal moment in my career. Assuming such responsibility at a young age was both exciting and motivating.
Prior to this, I initiated a summer tennis course project in collaboration with the municipality in Manisa, where I, along with my university classmates, taught tennis to over 60 children. With 15 years of coaching experience and a deep passion for working with children, I excel in technical coaching and can teach tennis quickly and effectively.
Manisa Celal Bayar University Tennis Academy
03/01/2015-06/01/2019
I have worked on scientific research and tennis education throughout my
academic career at the university.
PERIOD;
The first year I came to university, I thought performance tennis was just about
hitting the ball until I met the instructors in my school’s coaching staff. It was
here that I began to learn that I needed to integrate conditioning, the
mathematics of tennis, and biomechanics of movement, along with
physiological internal and external factors, to produce a comprehensive result.
That year, everything started when our player Başak Eraydın, who was a
member of the Turkish national team and was being conditioned by our
beloved coach Suat Yıldız, a world karate champion, chose me as his assistant.
I served as Suat Yıldız’s assistant for four years. I personally witnessed, read,
and experienced that the most significant improvement in a tennis player’s
career could be achieved through increased conditioning performance.
Between 2015 and 2020, I was present alongside Suat Yıldız in every academic
study. One of these studies involved the selection, creation, organization, and
systematization of the materials prepared for professional tennis players, to be
held in Spain.
In addition to these, I trained young athletes on behalf of our university in
Manisa. Within one year, I taught tennis to more than 600 students in the
elective tennis course. Years later, one of the 600 students I taught tennis
became my colleague. We worked at the same club, and together, we went
abroad to work
Manisa Tennis Academy 02/01/2017-03/01/2018
I took on the role of Athletic Performance Coaching and athlete tracking
analysis, which was also a responsibility assigned by my school. Furthermore,
my research in this area became the subject of my thesis
PERIOD;
What my school requested from me, and what I did as an assistant in academic
studies for my mentor, led me to monitor the performance analyses of athletes
at the Manisa Tennis Academy for a year. The relationship between injury and
nutrition, strength training, and the challenging limits of injuries became my
first field of experience where I could apply all the academic training I received
independently.
The year-long process required an intense work pace and discipline. I could
observe how the differences between modern training science and traditional
training science led to changes in the field. I began to understand from a
young age that “World Tennis is now based on power and speed, not
aesthetics, and the difference between the top 100 and 50 players is that the
latter is faster and stronger.” Of course, my focus was on world tennis, and I
often found myself in conferences and Zoom meetings because there was no
training science education with a methodology that made a difference in world
tennis in my country. But I was determined to learn

I taught tennis to the children within the school.
PERIOD:
My coach always used to say, ‘Being a good tennis coach is no different from
being a good mathematician. Seeing a problem is one thing, producing a
solution is another.’ I gradually realized that the more problems I see, the more
my problem-solving ability will develop over time. That’s why, knowing that I
would truly learn this job from a very young child the moment they stepped
onto the first court, I worked with children for long periods.
Here, I experienced teaching tennis before even starting to play with materials,
before holding a racket, focusing on being able to move and teaching tennis in
conjunction with proper movement forms.
Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club 10/06/2018-
01/09/2018
I undertook the coordination of the children’s tennis project created by the
Manisa Metropolitan Municipality for three months. I assisted in teaching
tennis to more than 100 children as part of the Project.
PERIOD:
While Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club could provide training in
20 different branches, the fact that there was only one club for tennis in
Manisa posed a significant obstacle to many children learning tennis. Children
who couldn’t access our university’s courts could reach the municipality. After
expressing my feelings to my university professor, Bulut Turhan, he helped me
realize my summer project idea by talking to the municipality. We taught
tennis to children from all over Manisa. As a result, many talented athletes
continued their tennis careers by attending the winter school.
Antalya Tennis Specialization and Sports Club 2021/2023
I performed my duties as the head of the performance team for age groups
U10-U12-14-16 and 6-8.
PERIOD:
My first club where I started tennis at the age of 6, my home, and the first
place that made me love tennis. Being here, especially starting to train athletes
from scratch after the pandemic period, felt like starting from zero. In June
2020, with the athletes I trained from four different age groups, we joined the
Antalya Tennis Specialization and Sports Club at a private court. As the coach
responsible for Performance, I started working with the academic education I
received and the influence of my past performance as a player, especially with
Merve Gültekinler, who made me responsible for Performance, saying, ‘You
already know what you need to be.’In the initial phase, I conducted
performance tests for athletes and presented the annual calendar based on the
results. Within just 2 years, we witnessed multiple Turkish Championships.
During this period, we achieved rankings and successes in official international
tournaments that we had never seen before. Through connections I made with
people from Spain and England during a special international tournament
camp in this process, I opened the doors to gaining international experience.
At the age of 12, I had the opportunity to send two of my players to the United
States after this tournament. Similarly, within a year, I discovered many talents
who started tennis and trained them, creating a large performance team. I
entrusted many athletes whom I believe will make a mark in the future to my
colleagues in the club and continue my career path
Lifetime Sports Tennis Academy (beijing) 2023
I am working on the development of youth athletes and the improvement of
performance players in the youth development program.
PERIOD:
I am gaining international experience here, experiencing the new system and
order I have created. I continue to work with athletes of various ages. Beyond
the European tennis model, I am trying to learn and improve myself in the
rising Asian tennis system in Asia.
SportsED Tennis Academy (shanghai) 2024 MayI am currently working here, training people of different levels and age
groups. Being part of an international team allows me to interact with
various tennis cultures. This diversity provides many advantages for both
me as a coach and for my students. Each culture has unique training
techniques and game strategies, which can broaden our perspectives.
