About Me
I work with tennis players on the mental side of performance, including composure under pressure, confidence, focus, emotional regulation, and recovery from setbacks. My background combines psychotherapy, performance psychology, and competitive athletics, with experience supporting athletes in high-pressure environments.
I began coaching athletes as a teenager and have remained involved in competitive sports and performance-focused work for years. I also assist players, parents, and coaches with communication, motivation, burnout prevention, and balancing performance with long-term development.
I believe performance work is most effective when it is practical, individualized, and directly connected to competition. My approach focuses on helping athletes think clearly, recover quickly, regulate emotion, and execute under pressure rather than relying on generic motivation.
Tennis is uniquely demanding psychologically because players must manage momentum swings, isolation during competition, confidence fluctuations, and constant resets between points. I enjoy working with players, families, and coaches who value long-term development alongside performance.
Based in Charlottesville, Virginia with remote availability. Available for remote consultation, tournament support, and travel-based performance work.
Experience
I have worked with athletes, high-achieving students, and performers dealing with pressure, confidence issues, anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and consistency under stress. My background combines psychotherapy, counseling, and performance-focused work with experience supporting individuals in competitive and high-expectation environments.
I began coaching athletes as a teenager and have remained involved in sports and athlete development for years. My work focuses on practical performance skills that translate directly to training and competition, including emotional regulation, focus recovery, composure under pressure, communication, and confidence management.
