About Me
I grew up in India, where my passion for sports was shaped early—first on the cricket fields of Kerala, then through academic and hands-on training in sports science in the UK. My Master’s degree from Sheffield University, combined with hands-on experience at Barnsley FC, Khelo India, and other elite programs, unlocked my potential to grow and refine my approach as a sports scientist and strength & conditioning coach. This journey has empowered me to pursue excellence in my profession with a commitment to evidence-based, athlete-centered coaching.
When I’m not in the gym or on the field, I recharge through hiking and rock climbing—activities that reinforce resilience, focus, and a love for the outdoors. I also stay inspired by exploring the latest sports performance research and innovative training technologies.
Driven by a deep belief in holistic athlete development, I aim to help every player I work with reach their highest potential—physically, mentally, and technically.

Sports Scientist & Lead Strength And Conditioning Coach – IND, April 2025- Present
My core responsibility is to enhance athletic performance and reduce injury risk through scientifically grounded training strategies. Working closely with the Jharkhand Hockey & football team, which recently secured a gold medal at the Senior, junior, and Sud-junior National Championship, women’s, I have implemented high-performance protocols integrating GPS tracking, force plate diagnostics, and blood lactate monitoring to objectively assess and optimise training loads.
My focus is on developing individualised strength and conditioning programs that align with each athlete’s physiological profile and performance goals. I’ve been instrumental in establishing a GPS-based athlete monitoring system to manage training intensities in real-time and introduced force plate testing to assess neuromuscular performance and recovery status, which has 25% reduced the risk of injury and 45% of improvement in different fitness companant.
Additionally, I’ve incorporated blood lactate-guided interval training to fine- tune aerobic and anaerobic conditioning. Close collaboration with coaches, physiotherapists, sports medicine experts, and nutritionists ensures a multidisciplinary approach to performance enhancement.
My ongoing aim is to refine data-informed decision-making frameworks, enhance return-to-play strategies, and contribute to the long-term athletic development of elite Indian athletes through evidence-based and athlete-centred practices.
Barnsley FC – Assistant Sports Scientist- UK Jan 2024 – Jan 2025
As a Sports Scientist at Barnsley FC, my responsibility was to optimize player performance through tailored fitness programs, monitor physiological data, and support injury prevention strategies. I was focusing on improving our data analysis processes to make more informed decisions on player load management. To achieve this, I plan to integrate advanced performance analytics software, R Studio, and Power BI, and enhance our use of wearable technology to track real-time metrics more accurately.
Collaborating closely with coaches, physiotherapists, and nutritionists will be crucial to ensuring a holistic approach to player health and performance. By doing this, I achieved the goal to refine our training protocols, reduce injury rates by 15%, and ultimately boost on-field performance through evidence-based practices.
