Nuno Ralheta - Tennis Coach

I’m 36 years of experience! I’ve launched projects from scratch!
I began to play tennis earlier, with 5 years old, I was a top former player and. I ́ve left the Competition, due to injuries problems.
I had the opportunity to begin to teach tennis with 18 years old in C.I.F, C.T. Monsanto and S.L. Benfica, to the Tennis corporate owner, Manuel de Sousa, Pedro Sousa ́s ( My ex-player Top 100 ATP) Father.

In 1993, I was invited to integrate the coaches team of C.T. Estoril, where I coached 10 years. My experience has began as a Tennis Director in 1996, lifting up the tennis school from 60 to 400 juniors, recognized, as the best Tennis school of the year of 2001 and the Best Professional of the year 2003 in Portugal, both awards recognized by RPT Ténis España.

I Have coached many players from ITF Circuits during 20 years (male and female, Juniors & Pros). My athletes won several National and International titles, in the different levels.

I was the National Coach of the male National team under 16, in 2004/05.

At Portuguese Tennis Federation and Lisbon Tennis Association, I was President and Vice-President of the Tennis Development Department. Later Carcavelos Ténis invited me, for 2 years contract, where I was the Tennis Director of the junior’s levels.

In 2006, I create the corporate Mustplay, (National Champion of corporates2008), holder of the Club of Quinta da Moura, where I was the Manager and Sports Director, which has been recognized at the gala of the Lisbon Tennis Association, as the best Club of Lisbon in 2008, and the 3rd in Portugal, with the highest number of players licenses/fees of the Portuguese Tennis Federation, standing out also, like the Club that organized more official tournaments of the Portuguese Tennis Federation calendar in 2008/2012. Clube de Campo Quinta da Moura, was the best Tennis Academy (Players Group) in Portugal, where I ́ve done a road show, ITF program Play & Stay (U/10 ́s).

I own courses and workshops of the most prestigious and bigger world- wide organizations of Tennis as, Registro Professional de Tennis España, Real Federacion de Tennis España, Nick Bollettieri tennis Academy, Harry Hopman, and the Spanish method of Sanchez-Casal, which launched Andy Murry to the Top, where I was coaching players from all over the world, in Barcelona in 2012. In 2013, I was invited to be the Head Coach at Smash Tennis Academy in Qatar – Doha, to start a program and method, for the Academy with 17 Tennis Coaches (different sites).

I ́ve co-organized, symposiums and workshops for coaches, with, Luís Mediero, Emílio Sanchez, António Cascales, António Arrantz, José António Andrade, Carlos Vicenz, Joffre Porta, Toni Nadal, between others.
I ́ve been privileged to be on Eurosport TV, during Australian Open, a few times invited as a commentator.

During all this time, I was Director of National Tournaments in all age levels,and International Tournaments. I give emphasis to Jean Borotra Cup, Helvetie Cup, Europe Cup and $10.000US, Hyfas Ladies Open, carried out in the CT Estoril, Quinta da Moura and Duna Guincho sports & Leisure Centre.
I also have a good know-how of rackets stringing and tennis courts construction and maintenance, principally red-clay courts.

Now I ́m 53, 36 years of tennis teaching experience and at the moment, I ́m looking for a new project.

Having been privileged to travel in various countries, I ́m fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish. My background, intellect, drive and communication skills will provide a valuable asset to your Academy, players and Country.
