About Me

I’m a tennis coach from Lisbon, Portugal, with a love for the game that took me to the United States as a college athlete and has kept me connected to the sport ever since. Living and competing abroad shaped who I am, I’ve always felt comfortable on the road, adapting to new places and cultures, which makes the international side of this work feel natural.

Outside of tennis, I enjoy reading and travelling. I find that both contribute directly into coaching by sharpening the way I think and communicate better. Also, travelling has given me a genuine appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. Some of my most memorable experiences have come from trips to tournaments with players.

I currently coach at the Frederico Marques Tennis Academy in Lisbon, working with high-performance players on tournament preparation, match analysis, opponent scouting and tactical development.

A core part of my role — here and at LXTEAM Tennis Academy before it (2022–2024) — has been working as a travelling coach on the Tennis Europe and ITF Junior circuits: planning competitive schedules, managing players on the road at international tournaments, and supporting them through every stage of competition, from pre-match preparation to post-match review. I know what it takes to keep young athletes performing, recovering and developing while competing abroad.

The results of that work include players reaching Portuguese #1 (U12 and U14), Tennis Europe top 15, and professional rankings. Players I\’ve worked with include Francisco Sardinha (Portuguese #1 U14, TE top 15), Tinatini Mtvarelishvili (Georgia #2 U16, TE #155), Jian Ibrahim and Eyad Reda Ezza (Egypt #2 at U18, ITF #220 and #117), Gonçalo Marques (ITF career-high #86), and professionals such as Pedro Araújo (ATP #400) and João Domingues (ATP career-high #150).

Before returning to Portugal, I spent two and a half years in player development at Tennis Central in Washington D.C., building junior programs, camps and competitive pathways.

Alongside coaching, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and have hands-on experience in club management and program operations — scheduling, coach coordination and academy structure — which means I can contribute beyond the court, whether in a high-performance coaching role or a director-level position.

Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, I integrate quickly into international, multicultural environments and communicate naturally with players, parents and staff across cultures.

I’m seeking a high-performance coaching, academy or director role internationally — fully open on location, with particular interest in Asia, the Middle East and Europe — where I can develop committed players and contribute to a serious competitive culture.
