Hi there tennis family. My name is Rod Pavlovic , and I am a Tennis Coach from Melbourne , Australia , currently based in lovely Austria. I have over 20 years of experience, including club levels as a Head Coach, Manager , I worked with professional players such as Ivo Karlovic and Roko Karanusic, I organized and built clubs from srach to about 250 members , and organised tennis camps.
I have a University degree in business and I am verse in management as well. Probably the highlight of my career was some great results with my pro players and also Head Coaching roles I have held !

About Me
I began a s top junior tennis player in Australia , and already at 19 I started working as a coach in Melbourne while I was also doing a degree in business. I started as an assistant tennis coach and progressed to Head Tennis Coach at clubs Kooyong and Melbourne Park. I played at the same time many future tournaments and as I had finished my Uni degree I started to play and train full time.
In 2003 I became a sparring partner at the Australian Open and till 2007 and started to coach a player named Roko Karanusic ( 88 ATP) whom I reached some great results , first and second rounds at every Grand Slam. From then I met other professional players , brushed up my game to the next level .
In 2009 I moved to Europe and got a placement at the Croatian Tennis Association as a manager and coach and later I took over 2 clubs in Austria where I stayed till now . Also in 2011, 2012, 2013 I worked in management and organisation of the 250 ATP event in Croatia which was another great experience. I have done all in tennis till now, from being a head coach, to manager, travel coach and teacher.
Experience
- 1998-2003 – Head tennis Coach in Melbourne , Australia , clubs : Kooyong TC, Melbourne Park TC , Eltham TC
- 2003-2007 – Touring coach for Roko Karanusic, Sasha Tuksar , Ivo , Karlovic, participation at all Grand Slams. Also manager for their business affairs.
- 2007-2009 – Sports teacher , Manager for Volkl Tennis Racquets
- 2009-2013 – Croatian Tennis Association, Head Tennis Coach / also for 3 years was in management of an ATP event in Zagreb , Zagreb Indoors ( player data management , score management directly wit ITF in Florida and tournament activities.
- 2013 – 2025 – Running 2 clubs ( ES TC, UWK , Langegg) as a Head Coach and board member in Graz in Austria . Basically I built the clubs from beginning, formed competitions, designed lessons and formed junior players
- 2015-2015 – Whilst working as a Head Coach also organized tennis camps for Wagner Tennis
