About Me
My tennis journey began at the age of four and has taken me from being one of Asia’s top junior players to coaching some of the region’s most promising young athletes. As a junior, I was ranked No. 1 in India and Asia across multiple age groups and became one of the youngest players to achieve an ITF Junior Top 100 ranking at age 13.
During my development years, I spent several years training and competing in Spain and across Europe, gaining valuable international experience and success in Tennis Europe and ITF events. One of my proudest achievements was reaching the final of the prestigious Torneo Avvenire in Milan, one of the world’s premier junior tournaments. I was also part of the historic Indian U-14 World Junior Championship team that won a bronze medal in the Czech Republic, the first and only podium finish for India in the World Group to date.
My playing career was defined by both success and resilience. After overcoming a three-year injury setback during my junior years, I achieved a career-high ATP ranking of 610 at age 17, reached a UTR of 14.8, and competed for NCAA Division I Top 10 program Texas Tech University. Unfortunately, recurring wrist injuries during my college career ultimately forced me to step away from professional tennis at a young age. While that chapter ended sooner than I had hoped, it led me to discover my true passion for coaching and athlete development.
As a coach, I have served as a High Performance Coach at the Hong Kong China Tennis Association and Hong Kong Sports Institute, working with national team players and some of Asia’s leading juniors. I have helped develop Asian No. 1 juniors, guided players to multiple ITF and ATF titles, and was honored to receive the Hong Kong Coaching Excellence Award (Jockey Club) in 2023.
My coaching philosophy is built around developing complete athletes through strong technical fundamentals, tactical awareness, physical preparation, mental resilience, and a genuine love for the game. Having experienced junior, collegiate, professional, and high-performance coaching environments firsthand, I understand the demands required to succeed at every stage of a player’s journey.
Outside of tennis, I am passionate about sports and competition. I enjoy football, fitness training, strength and conditioning, hiking, and spending time outdoors. I am a lifelong supporter of Chelsea FC and the Brazilian national team, and I enjoy playing and following a variety of sports. Above all, I am passionate about helping athletes maximize their potential and achieve goals that once seemed out of reach.
I am available for coaching, consulting, academy, club, and player development opportunities worldwide. My experience ranges from grassroots and junior development to national team and high-performance coaching, allowing me to work effectively with players of all ages and levels.
Having competed at the ATP level, represented India internationally, and played NCAA Division I tennis at Texas Tech University and the University of Southern Mississippi, I have firsthand experience of the junior, collegiate, and professional pathways. I am particularly passionate about helping young athletes navigate the college tennis recruitment process while developing the skills, habits, and mindset required for long-term success in the sport.
Coming from a sporting family, with my father having represented India internationally in hockey, I was exposed to the values of discipline, dedication, and high-performance sport from an early age. These values continue to shape my coaching philosophy and approach to athlete development.
Whether working with young beginners, competitive juniors, collegiate athletes, or aspiring professionals, I strive to create a positive, structured, and professional training environment where players can develop technically, tactically, physically, and mentally. I am open to opportunities with clubs, academies, schools, colleges, federations, and private programs, and I look forward to connecting with players, parents, and organizations that share a commitment to long-term development and excellence.
Experience
I bring over 15 years of experience as a player and more than 6 years of international coaching experience across the United States, Hong Kong, and India.
My coaching journey began during my collegiate years in the United States, where I gained valuable experience through coaching internships at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy in New York and GM Tennis in Massachusetts. Following graduation, I was appointed Head Coach at Gorin Tennis Academy in California, one of the top tennis academies in the United States. After returning to India and working privately with competitive players, I joined the Hong Kong China Tennis Association and Hong Kong Sports Institute as a High Performance Coach.
In Hong Kong, I worked with national team players and some of Asia’s top juniors, helping develop Asian No. 1 players, ITF Top 300 juniors, Orange Bowl finalists, and multiple ITF and ATF champions. I also served as Captain and Coach for Hong Kong teams at major international events, including the World Junior Tennis Finals, Asian Championships, Junior Davis Cup, and ITF Development Championships. In recognition of my contributions, I received the Hong Kong Coaching Excellence Award (Jockey Club) in 2023.
As a player, I achieved a career-high ATP ranking of 610 at age 17 after returning from a three-year injury layoff and became one of the youngest players to reach the ITF Junior Top 100 at age 13. I was ranked No. 1 in India and Asia across multiple age groups and achieved a career-high UTR of 14.8. I trained and competed extensively in Spain and across Europe, reached the final of the prestigious Torneo Avvenire in Milan, represented India and Asia at major international events, and was part of India’s historic bronze-medal team at the U-14 World Junior Championships, the country’s first World Group podium finish.
I also competed for NCAA Division I programs at Texas Tech University and the University of Southern Mississippi, giving me firsthand experience of the junior, collegiate, and professional pathways.
My experience as both an elite player and high-performance coach enables me to provide a complete approach to player development, combining technical, tactical, physical, and mental training to help athletes maximize their potential.
