Saher Sadaldin - Tennis Coach

Vienna
Austria

Saher Sadaldin

At the age of 5, my parents noticed that I have a passion for tennis and soccer, they encouraged me to practice, but at the age of 11 they asked me to choose only one of them, so it could not affect my scholar education. No doubt, I chose tennis.

Tennis definitely is a unique exciting sport. Compared to other sports, tennis combines physical and mental skills. I can remember the high accurate synchronisation between body and mind that I felt within.

  • Won the Syrian Championship more that 8 times
  • At the age of 11, he won the Syrian schools championship in singles ,doubles and mixed doubles (1984)
  • Started playing tennis when he was 9

At the age of 12 I signed up to schools tournament, it was my first official competition, I won the first place in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. My win motivated me to continue, it was a sign that I chose a suitable sport and more of success may be waiting for me.

At the age of 14 I joined the my first championship for professional players in Nicosia, Cyprus at the Aphrodite Hills Resort.  At that time, I was inspired by world champion Andre Agassi.  I duplicated his playing style and just like him I was a fighter at the baseline with powerful shots, high topspin and a high intensity on court.  I focused on maintaining a high stamina with the right technique which I learned from the Russian master trainer Vadim Borisov (coach of Yevgeny Kafelnikov) who accompanied me daily for 4 years.

My passion for clay courts was essentially related to my playing style at the baseline, which depends on rear power shots with sudden drop shots or attacking at the net.

Just like a tennis match, by the time I built my career step-by-step:

First, The unforgettable moment, when I started to consider myself as an official international tennis player, is the moment I was able to register to Davis Cup championship when I was only 19 years old.  Relative to my age, I played big matches against many countries like UAE, Thailand, Singapore, Iran. In the end, my win against Kazakhstan champion..

I participated 2 times at the Arab World Elite Championship for the best 12 Arab players. After that, I attended a lot of competitions in Italy, America, Dubai, Tunisia, Egypt, Singapore, Syria, Kuwait, Cyprus, Austria, Lebanon

In total, I collected more than 42 titles and participated in more than 100 competitions worldwide.
