Hello everyone, I’m Saiprasath Kumar, a 26-year-old tennis coach with six years of coaching experience. Since August 2023, I’ve been working at the Sania Mirza Tennis Academy in Dubai.

Sports Degree:

ITF level – 1 Tennis Coach.
AITA level – IV Tennis Coach.
(PGDSC) – PG Diploma in sports coaching in Tennis specification.

Educational Degree:

Bachelor of Arts (English literature)

About Me

I have been fortunate to gain valuable experience working with some of India’s finest tennis academies and esteemed coaches. Notably, I had the privilege of being associated with the renowned Chennai Tennis Centers and the prestigious Sania Mirza Tennis Academy, both of which have significantly contributed to my growth as a coach.

I have primarily worked with ITF and ATF junior players, focusing on developing their skills for grass root tennis on occasion. Additionally, I have experience coaching players at all levels, including red, orange, and green ball tennis, as well as recreational players.

My Skills:

Served as a hitting partner for ITF professionals, providing high-level practice sessions.
Possess strong playability to engage with players of all levels while incorporating coaching techniques.
Designed and implemented programs tailored for various player categories, including elite, advanced, juniors, and recreational players.
Demonstrated proper techniques to players, ensuring clarity and understanding during training.
Conducted individual and group training sessions, focusing on skill development and competitive readiness.

Experience

I began my coaching career in 2019 under the guidance of Mr. Suresh Kumar Shonacham, a tutor for the All India Tennis Coaches Course and a leader in one of India’s top high-performance tennis academies. Under his mentorship, I gained invaluable knowledge in areas such as advanced techniques, biomechanics, hitting strategies, player fundamentals, and academic integration into tennis coaching.

2019-2021: Assistant Coach at Chennai tennis center (High performance Academy)

Focused on developing strong techniques and fundamentals for players.
Specialized in training junior players with a focus on competitive growth.

2021-2023: Head Coach at Green Tennis Academy, Chennai

Served as Academy Head Coach, managing high-performance and grassroots tennis programs.
Conducted tournaments and provided foundational coaching for kids and adults.
Managed academy accounts and financial operations.
Mentored players, including Navin Sundaram, a top-10 junior in the Asian rankings.
Produced several top players in India through grassroots development.

2023-Present: Coach at Sania Mirza Tennis Academy, Dubai, UAE

Gained international coaching experience at one of Dubai’s leading academies.
Worked with players of all levels, including UAE ranking players, grassroots tennis athletes, recreational players, and adults.
Coordinated client bookings, scheduled lessons, and ensured timely responses to client inquiries.

Across these roles, I have consistently demonstrated expertise in developing players, organizing and managing tennis programs, and handling administrative responsibilities. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse regions and backgrounds, which has enhanced my ability to adapt my coaching methods to suit different cultures and playing styles.
