About Me
Born in South Africa, educated in England, and shaped by the tennis courts of Paris – my journey into the game has never followed a straight line, and that’s exactly what makes it interesting.
I fell in love with tennis early and chased it across continents, eventually landing in France, where I spent 18 years immersed in one of the world’s great tennis cultures, learning from some of the best coaches in the game and working my way to the highest level of the professional tour.
Today I’m based in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and I bring that global perspective – and genuine international experience – to everything I do.
Away from the court, I’m happiest on a bike, exploring a new city, or around a table with good food, great wine, and even better company. Music is always on. Family is everything.
Three countries shaped me. Four decades in the game refined me. One thing has never changed – a genuine obsession with what it takes to perform at the highest level.
Experience
I’ve lived professional tennis from both sides of the net.
As a player, I competed on the European circuits – experiencing firsthand the physical demands, mental pressure, and relentless travel that define life as a touring professional. That playing background isn’t a footnote. It’s the foundation of everything I do as a coach.
My coaching career took me to the very top of the game. I have worked with several ATP- and WTA-ranked players, accumulating a depth of tour-level experience that few coaches can match. I understand what it takes to compete at the highest level because I have been in those environments, week after week, tournament after tournament.
Beyond the tour, I spent the better part of a decade directing and managing club tennis operations across Europe, before bringing that same expertise to the United States – building programs, developing players at every level from grassroots juniors through to developing professionals, and running organizations with real commercial and operational complexity on both sides of the Atlantic.
Add to that 18 years embedded in the French tennis ecosystem, professional coaching certification across France, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and fluency in French, I bring rare breadth, genuine depth, and true international credibility to any player serious about their development.
