SportsProsConnect Launches New Tennis Federation Membership
It’s the first week in September and the final Slam of the year in Flushing Meadows is well and truly under way.
A lot has also been happening behind the scenes at SportsProsConnect as we get closer to 1,000 international placements.
During the summer, we started to connect more with federations and decision-makers within tennis governing bodies. Through these conversations, it became evident that there are several ongoing issues around where federations fit into the professional and junior tours.
At SportsProsConnect, we believe we can help solve two or three of these issues.
Federation Membership
Over the summer, we have been working on putting a Tennis Federation Membership in place for federations, associations and certification organisations.
For those who regularly visit the SportsProsConnect website, you may have already noticed that our Federation Membership is now live.
One of the aims of the membership is to help solve an ongoing problem that has emerged over several years within the Top 100 ATP and WTA.
From an outsider’s view, it appears that those who rank in the top echelons of tennis often work with a relatively small list of top coaches. These coaches can frequently do the rounds within the professional circuit.
As a result, it can be extremely difficult for an up-and-coming younger coach to find an opportunity working with a top player.
Likewise, it can be difficult for a player trying to break into Grand Slam level to find a system or platform that will help them identify a new coach who can potentially take them to the next level.
Helping Federations Connect Players and Coaches
The SportsProsConnect Federation Membership is designed to make it easier for federations, and players within those federations, to find coaches who are looking for opportunities to help players break into that level.
By joining the SportsProsConnect platform, a federation can help its players connect with top-quality coaches from around the world.
Likewise, if you are a coach looking for that next role and hoping to break into professional tennis, SportsProsConnect aims to become the go-to platform for high-performance and travelling coaching roles.
As a federation member, you will be able to upload player profiles and add job descriptions to help your players choose the right coach from those who apply for the roles.
SportsProsConnect can then send all applicants directly to you or filter applicants according to your individual requirements.
We currently have more than 900 coaches associated with SportsProsConnect and signed up as members, many of whom are looking for their next role in tennis.
And, if you continue reading, you’ll see how there could soon be thousands more coaches to choose from.
Federation Membership Case Study
Without naming names, we recently placed a high-performance coach with a player ranked approximately ATP 250.
Without SportsProsConnect acting as the intermediary, this particular connection would not have been possible.
Interestingly, the coach happened to live in the same town where the player grew up many years ago, yet the two had never known each other at the time.
They have now been working together successfully for the last two months.
This placement highlighted exactly what can be achieved by connecting players with a much wider network of coaches and was one of the reasons we created the Federation Membership.
Coach Directory for Federations
Earlier in this article, I mentioned that we believe SportsProsConnect can help solve two or three of the problems that federations have consistently spoken to us about this summer.
Providing federations with a coach directory can help address two of the main issues.
1. Increasing Participation in Tennis
A federation coach directory can help increase participation in tennis by making it easier for new and existing players to find coaches near them through the federation website.
2. Creating an Effective Recruitment Platform
The directory can also provide federations with an effective recruitment platform that is already proven to help clubs, academies and resorts recruit tennis professionals worldwide.
A New Opportunity for Tennis Federations
SportsProsConnect is a successful and ambitious recruitment platform, having made just under 1,000 international placements since the beginning of 2020.
The platform has a unique and successful set-up and is now ready to take on a new challenge: connecting with ambitious federations that want to help their players reach new heights while also helping their coaches achieve their goals.

We understand that every federation will have different requirements, and over time we will be contacting a number of federations directly.
For now, we are looking to launch with three to five federations that share our aims and ambitions and want to help take their players and coaches to the next level.
