Jason Stoltenkamp - Tennis Coach

Gauteng
South Africa

I am a highly experienced professional tennis coach with 20 years of coaching expertise, including extensive work at national and international levels. Since 2012, I have consistently coached at the highest levels in South Africa and recently in Sweden. Notably, I coached/worked with the world’s top U8 at junior girl, Mila Bertha, Lea Nilsson (ITF 34) and William Kjellberg (top 20 TE) and Grace Bernstein TE top 10) along with many other elite junior talents in Sweden.

Over the years, I have developed 32 Junior National Singles Champions in South Africa across various age groups. I possess significant experience on the ITF Junior Circuit, including Junior Grand Slams, and have coached players on the ITF Futures Tour (both men and women). I was also the coach of Nikala Scholtz (ATP 370) at the South African Open (ATP event) in 2011.

My national coaching credentials include being the South African National Team Coach of two African Junior Championship-winning teams (Morocco 2009 & Egypt 2012). I also served as Team Captain for both Junior Davis Cup (2009) and Junior Fed Cup (2012) teams. In 2017, I was invited to apply for the South African Fed Cup Captain position and was recommended by Jeff Coetzee (Director of Tennis South Africa and former ATP No.9 Doubles Player).

I have successfully developed junior players who achieved ITF Top 100 rankings and have facilitated the placement of 15 athletes into NCAA Division 1 tennis programs in the United States.

As a junior player, I was ranked as high as No.2 in South Africa, competing on the ITF Junior Circuit and at Futures level. Professionally, I have been mentored by Jofre Porta (Global Tennis Team; former coach of Rafa Nadal & Carlos Moya) and collaborated with Magnus Norman (ATP Coach of the Year 2016 and coach of Stan Wawrinka) through the Stripple Future Generation Program at the Good to Great Tennis Academy.

Testimonial

Stockholm 2021-06-22 This letter is a recommendation letter written by Magnus Norman (ID No. 760530-6237). This letter is intended to justify the tennis coaching skills of Mr. Jason Stoltenkamp. As a C/O and founder of the Good to Great Tennis Academy in Sweden, I have worked alongside and very closely with Jason. Jason arrived to our academy from South Africa to further develop his coaching skills and he sets a high standard in his coaching job.Jason was in charge together with myself for our development group of players age 9-14 years old. Jason has really great skills working with development of youth players. Specifically technically he is very good and his methods are great. We spent a lot of time discussing tennis and putting together how to develop our players in Sweden further. Jason still plays tennis at a high level and was a great coach at the academy. He is very easy going and likeable. I can recommend Jason for someone that seeks a very professional high level tennis coach.
