Hello, I am Joseph Kojo Doe-Adjani, popularly known as Coach Joe. I am an experienced tennis coach with over thirty-three (33) years of coaching and thirty-nine (39) years of playing experience. I have a strong background in tennis training, having worked with various institutions and clubs in Accra, Ghana. I am dedicated, hardworking, and passionate about developing tennis players at all levels.

  • Regent University College of Science and Technology, Accra — Graduated December 2010
  • ITF Coaching Course Level One, Accra — January 2012
  • International Coaches Course, Lome, Togo — December 2011
  • ITF Worldwide Coaches Workshop, Antalya, Turkey — October 2005
  • ITF Coaching Course Level Two, Accra — May 2016

I have coached at multiple venues with flexible hours, including:

  • Army Officers’ Mess Tennis Club, Accra (1999–2023)
  • University of Ghana, Legon (2008–2018)
  • Sunrise Hotel Social Club, North Ridge, Accra (1989–1999)

I am available for coaching sessions that can last three or more hours, demonstrating stamina and dedication.

I have participated in and won several key tournaments, including

  • Seniors Open Tennis Tournament (Ghana): Multiple-time winner in the 35 to 45 age categories from 2011 onward.
  • National Boys’ 18 Championship: Champion in earlier years as a junior player.
  • Men’s Open National Tournaments: Winner and finalist in various editions during his competitive playing career.
  • Inter-Club Tennis Competitions in Accra: Competed and won titles representing clubs such as the Army Officers’ Mess Tennis Club and Sunrise Hotel Social Club.
  • University Games Tournaments: Participated actively in the Ghana University Students Association (GUSA) games, West Africa University Games (WAUG), and Federation of International University Students (FIUS) games, both as a player and coach.

Experience
  • Army Officers’ Mess Tennis Club (1999–2023): Coached military personnel and the public, trained the army tennis team for tournaments, and maintained tennis courts.
  • University of Ghana, Legon (2008–2018): Trained university teams for inter-hall games, Ghana University Students Association (GUSA) games, West Africa University Games (WAUG), and Federation of International University Students (FIUS) games.
  • Sunrise Hotel Social Club (1989–1999): Coached hotel guests, club members, and the public; played competitively in inter-club and national tournaments.
  • Achievements include winning the Seniors Open in age categories 35 to 45 from 2011 onwards, and previous wins in boys’ 18 and men’s open categories.
  • Developed players who represented Ghana nationally and ranked between 1 and 4 nationally, with many currently living abroad. One of my sons currently plays for the national junior team.
