SPORTSPROSCONNECT YEAR IN REVIEW: COMMUNITY, GROWTH & WHAT’S NEXT
The SportsProsConnect year in review is a chance to reflect on what has been an incredibly positive and productive year for the platform and our growing global coaching community.
As we close out the year, I’d like to wish all our readers, members, and partners a very Happy Christmas and New Year. Each year with SportsProsConnect genuinely seems to get better and better, and with that, the sense of community continues to grow stronger.
SPORTSPROSCONNECT 2025 BY THE NUMBERS
Here’s a snapshot of what the past year has looked like across the platform:
▪️ New Members: 383
▪️ Total Members: 970
▪️ New Job Opportunities: 202
▪️ Coaches Placed: 133
▪️ Placements Made: 140
▪️ WhatsApp Group Members: 428
▪️ Blogs Written: 21
▪️ New Platforms Launched: 1
These numbers reflect more than just growth — they reflect trust, engagement, and a community that continues to come back time and time again.

WHY COMMUNITY STILL MATTERS MOST
From day one, SportsProsConnect has been built with community and connection at its core. Over the years, I’ve grown incredibly close to many of our members. What stands out consistently is that while coaches may come and go from the platform as their careers evolve, many of them return when the time is right.
Often, a coach will join SPC, secure a new role, and step away while they settle into their position. But coaching careers are rarely linear, and when coaches are ready for their next move, SPC is often where they return. That loyalty and trust is something I value hugely.

THE REALITY OF COACHING CAREERS
Coaches across all sports tend to change jobs regularly — not through lack of commitment, but because of ambition, opportunity, and the structure of the industry itself.
Tennis, like many sports, is still not run as professionally as it could be, both from a recruitment perspective and from the coaching side. At SPC, we’re trying to change that, step by step.
A few months ago, I wrote a blog focused on how to apply for tennis coaching jobs effectively. This is now sent to every new coach who joins the platform, helping them put their best foot forward when applying for roles.

THE SUCCESS OF COACH SPOTLIGHTS
One of the real successes of the platform this year has been giving coaches a stronger voice and profile through content.
Our Coach Spotlight series has been particularly popular. We now interview one coach each week, allowing them to share their journey, philosophy, and career experiences.
When I asked our WhatsApp group who would like to be featured, over 35 coaches expressed interest immediately. We’re now fully booked with interviews until the end of February, with even more coaches still to be scheduled.
This means that for at least the next six months, readers will see a new Coach Spotlight every single week — showcasing the depth, diversity, and experience within the SPC community.

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2026
As the stats show, membership is growing, more jobs are being listed, and more coaches are being placed than ever before. This momentum will continue into 2026, with a much bigger push planned across recruitment and visibility within racket sports.
While I won’t give too much away just yet, our plans for 2026 will have a significant impact on how recruitment is approached across the racket sports industry.

SPC SENIORS TOURNAMENT – ITALY 2026
In September 2025, we had planned to host our first seniors tournament in partnership with our contacts in Italy. Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, the event had to be postponed.
I’m pleased to confirm that new dates are now set for 12th–17th May 2026.
We’ll be promoting this much more heavily in early 2026, but for now, I encourage teams to start registering their interest as early as possible.

EXPANDING INTO FOOTBALL & BEYOND
2025 was also a year of networking and exploring how the SPC concept could work across other sports.
Last year, we announced plans to expand beyond racket sports, and in September we soft-launched SPC Football:

While still in the early stages, we’re proud of the look, feel, and direction of the platform. The current focus is on community-building, with a more formal launch planned for Q2 / Q3 2026.
If anyone reading this would like to discuss opportunities across football, racket sports, or future expansions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

A FINAL THANK YOU
All in all, it’s been a very successful year for SportsProsConnect. Thank you to every coach, club, academy, and partner who has been part of the journey.
Once again, I wish you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2026.
See you on the court soon. 🎾
