Professional Tennis coach in high performance level with knowledge of Physiotherapy and physical education
Currently working in Next Level Tennis Academy in Barcelona with profesional Tennis players and players who aim to be professional.
As a player had been played professionally until the level of futures 15k until one injury which make the objective change for coaching and start career of coaching in highest level.
Qualifications
- – physiotherapy degree in Ramón Llull university
- – physicaly education college
- – RPT coaching licence level 4 ( highest level )
My Name is Behnam Shahrestanikia, Born in tehran and live and growth in Spain (Barcelona) the capital of tennis in the world .
Coaching since 11 years a go in high level competition tennis in Spain and Germany . Working in 2 different Big academy in Barcelona like Emilio Sánchez vicario tennis academy and Bruguera tennis academy . Have experience as a player in some of these academy like Bruguera and Juan Carlos Ferrero tennis academy ( equelite ).
I started play professionally in Barcelona with bruguera tennis academy , then I continúed his tennis in región of valencia- Alicante and trained couple of month under Paco Fogues Domenech actual coach of Sara sorribes and ex coach of David ferrer and trained one year under Ferrero tennis academy where he learned many thing as a player that he still use them for his coaching from Fran Martinez ( coached Mayar sherif and roberto carballes) as his head coach and Alberto lledo as his fitness coach current physical trainer of Carlos Alcaraz . I returned to Barcelona and work under Daniel estela where He learned the most as a coach Who came from the school of Pato Álvarez and Antonio Hernández and reach to his BEST level as top 200 spanish national ranking. he also played future level where he pass some qualy to main draw but due injuries never let him to get to his top goals as a player.
After that I started the career of coaching and at the same time studying physical education studies and the Physiotherapy studies to complete his knowledge as a high performance tennis coach.
After one year work in CTC tennis school joined the academy Sánchez casal and worked there for 2 years from 2017-2019 and there worked with all Juniors Who had aimed to reach to their máximum level.
and then after one year working as a freelance coach between france-germany and Spain he left to Germany to experience a new project by owning and creating by himself a competition group in Hamburg in the UHC tennis club 2020-2023.where he coached the top Juniors and U16,U14,U12 of north germany . He developed various Top 10 players of Hamburg U16 and U14 In Hamburg in many occasion of these 3 years his players were taking places in the top 5 ranked of their category one after each other.
I also managed to coach the Top 3 ranked girls U16 in hamburg and the number one boys U12 in Hamburg also was training by him.
After that I came back to Barcelona and continued under Real club de polo Barcelona and worked with their competitive players under Eva Bes as the director of the competition school. mostly worked as U16 U14 U18 Boys talented guys of the club .
Experience
- -2015-2016 – Worked for a tennis school in CTC in Casteldefels (15 min from Barcelona city centre)
- – worked with all kind of ages from 6 to 18 years old from beginners to advance level
- – 2016-2017 – worked for a tennis school of tennis hospitelet in Barcelona.
- -private lessons for kids and adults who compite in national level
- 2017-2019 – Worked in Sanchez casal Tennis academy which is now called Emilio Sanchez tennis academy for two years with Stefan ortega and Pep plasin and Angel Gimenez as Head coaches of the academy and worked togather with Javier gutierrez Polo actual coach of Despina papamichail ranked 200 WTA
- – Worked with all juniors of the academy who had the aim to be profesional tennis players
- – group lessons and Private lessons with Top juniors in europe and also some competetive players who preapered futures 15k and wta 35k.
- 2019-2021 – private coach for players with level of ITF and Tennis europes in Hamburg

- – 2021-2023 – Director of created of the only competition group in Hamburg with possibility of having high performance training of 2H group lesson plus private training, Fitness sesion by my self and sesion of Physiotherapy plus fallow up to national and international tournament with players. The group was based in UHC tennis club in Hamburg and arived to have 6 players of the best Hamburg U14 and U16 and Trained the best juniors of Hamburg privately.
- -2023-2024 Came back to Barcelona with one private player from germany and at the same time work in one of the best clubs in Barcelona ( Real club de polo de Barcelona).
- – In this club I worked with their best U16 and U18 players of the club for make them preaper to get their best level and compite in national and international tournament like Junior ITF and Tennis europe.

- Traveling to WTA 15K 35K and futures men players
- Train their 15k 35k wta players plus their best junior ITF players like 300-500 ITF junior ranking
