Hi, I am Coach Imani, I am intrigued by the effect sports has on the youth. I have worked at Shani Active Gym in administration and customer service. Later on, I worked at Limuru Country Club, as a sports coordinator and I am currently a Tennis Esports Representative. I am excited to explore the new possibilities that working in Tennis will bring forth.

From October 2024 till date I am the Tennis Esports Representative in Kenya, currently working with the Virtual Tennis Esports Centers (VTEC). The VTEC technology gives tennis players an edge in refining their tennis skills to enable them perform better on-court. The training provided through Tennis Esports also gives the players an opportunity to play with players from all around the world and also compete in international tournaments.
Since November 2022 I have been an athlete on Tennis Esports. During this time I have participated in various international tournaments such as the Erste Bank Virtual Open.
During my role as Gymkhana Coordinator from February 2012 to September 2021, tennis was one of the sports I was in-charge of at Limuru Country Club. I executed the required deliverables in the area of facility management, member engagement and retention and organization of the Junior Sports Camp.

- Work Involvement: Sales and marketing of Virtual Tennis Esports Center (VTEC).
March 2024 – October – School Lead Educator at TechLit Africa
- Work Involvement: Delivering computer technology curriculum to students in rural Africa such as Funzi Primary School on Funzi Island, Kwale County.
August 2023 – Facilitator at Hand In Hand Foundation
- Work Involvement: Leading youth teams in physical activity competitions, assisting in the planning of conference logistics, educating the youth on virtual reality esports.
November 2022 – Till date – VR Athlete on Tennis Esports
- Work Involvement: Creating engagement on the Discord channel, the Tennis App on the Metaverse and social media platforms.
February 2021 – September 2021 – Gymkhana Coordinator at Limuru Country Club
- Work Involvement: Handling inquiries, ensuring Tennis, Squash, Lawn Bowling, Swimming, and Cricket facilities are in good condition, content creation for social media platforms, compiling the periodic newsletter and organizing the Gymkhana Junior Camp.
