Teodora Sevo
I have been playing tennis since I was 7 years old, throughout my tennis career I have been coached by very professional coaches that I have learned from. My career continued in the USA, where I played for D1 women’s tennis team at Appalachian State University. I was lucky to have very special coach there that could teach me how to be coachable and how to be a coach. It hasn’t been always easy, but knowing that someone has your back means a lot and that is what I am trying to do for new generations and players.

August 2017 – May 2021: Appalachian State Women’s Tennis Team, Boone NC
- Honored as Female Freshman of the Year
- Selected twice as Most Valuable Player (MVP) by coaches and other players
- Served as a leader on the tennis team by serving as a role model for all students
- Balanced the rigors of full academic course load with team practices, workouts, tournaments, community service hours, and travel
- Mentored and assisted new players
- Sun Belt Regular Season Champions
- Sun Belt’s Player to Watch for 2018/2019, the first award for an App State tennis athlete
December 2018: Volunteer Tennis Coach at Wake Forest University, Winston Salem, NC
- Collaborated with other coaches to assist in tennis instruction for 30 children ages 7 – 15
- Adjusted communication style to fit the needs of each individual camper
- Motivated children to push past their perceived limits and achieve goals
