Cobus van Wyk
I’m a dynamic and driven 26-year-old tennis coach from South Africa. I firmly believe that a coach’s role is to adapt to the unique needs and aspirations of each player, rather than expecting players to conform to a rigid coaching style. With my open-minded approach, I tailor my coaching methods to the individual, recognizing that every player has their own strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles.

– Represented South Africa abroad playing ITF tournaments in Asia.

My coaching philosophy – I became a tennis coach because of my enthusiasm and love for the game. Tennis coaching is not my work or job; it is an opportunity to transform lives and aid people whose tennis and lives I am lucky to be a part of. To become the best coach I can possibly be, I work hard and keep the loving excitement for this game alive by developing a passion for this extraordinary game among the young people whose lives I touch by coaching.

Lux Tennis – Tennis & Padel Professional – Patina Maldives
- I have had the privilege of working with diverse individuals, from young beginners to seasoned athletes. This experience has not only honed my coaching skills but also reinforced my ability to tailor my approach to the unique needs and goals of each player.
- In order to successfully manage the Padel tennis program alongside my tennis coaching duties, my significant experience of tennis techniques and coaching has enabled me to quickly adapt to the Padel tennis environment.
Lux Tennis – Tennis Professional – Jumeirah Resort, Muscat Oman
- I regularly met my monthly lesson goal while coaching a variety of players with varying ages and playing skills. On several times, coached the Prince of Austria.
PROSAT Initiative High Performance Coach – Pretoria, South Africa
- Worked with several top-ranked African players as well as national and international-ranked players as coach at the High-Performance program.
- Team coach and coordinator of the Curro Senior Girls Tennis team, the best in South Africa after winning the Curro Cup in Sun City.
- Coach and coordinator of the Curro Junior Boys team, which won the BNP Paribas Rising Stars Regional and Provincial Championships and qualified for the Nationals, where we placed third in South Africa.

- By implementing personalized training programs tailored to each player’s specific needs, I have consistently fostered growth and development as many of my former players have gone on to achieve remarkable success, earning accolades in regional and national competitions. Witnessing the transformation of individuals, from novices to accomplished athletes, has been the most rewarding aspect.
