Jovan Macic
I am a 25 year old tennis coach from Kotor, Montenegro. I started playing tennis at the age of 8 and have a lot of experience in all levels of playing and coaching. I have been coaching others for the last 5 years and I am trying to expand my tennis knowledge everyday. I played many national and international tournaments from tennis Europe to international senior futures tournaments. After all those years of playing I decided to try and transfer all the knowledge I accumulated through the years to other players that need help or assistance in their path to becoming better at this sport in any way. I am so excited to work with you all!

April 2023 – Current: Personal tennis coach / Kotor,Montenegro
- I am currently coaching U14 national level tennis player and have been working with him for almost half an year.
Oct 2022 – March 2023: Private coach at the resort Lustica Bay Hotels and Resorts, Tivat, Montenegro
- Worked with some resort guests and clients from all over the world there.
- Got new experience with working at the resort which i liked very much.
- Mainly focused on teaching them the basics and proper technique.
Oct 2021 – Sep 2022: Personal tennis coach / Podgorica, Montenegro
- I was a coach for a Serbian itf level junior player while also travelling and going on tournaments with him and his father.
- We managed to get a couple of itf tournament semifinals while also having good results on national level tournaments.
- I improved a lot as a coach during that year and got more experience coaching just one individual and travelling with him all year long.
June 2020 – July 2021: Coach TC Tivat, Kotor, Montenegro
- I was working with kids mostly showing them the basics of tennis.
- I also had a lot of group sessions which halped me to become much more time efficient as a coach
- Had a great experience there learning from many older and more experienced coaches who helped me to reach a new higher level of coaching.
May 2018 – March 2020: Coach at TC Macho, Kotor, Montenegro
- First year of working here I was mainly working with amateur tennis players and older people willing to learn proper technique and basics of tennis as well as kids.
- I was usually more focused on making the practice more interesting form them and tried to make it as fun as possible.
- My second year working here I was actually transitioning to playing with high level juniors, mainly sparring and playing matches with them.

Jovan provided me with superb tennis coaching when I visited Montenegro. His attention to detail on explaining what I needed to do to improve certain aspects my of technique was excellent - in my case especially on the sliced backhand, which is a shot I am aiming to use more in my game. We also worked on body positioning when striking the ball, and tactics for dealing with particular types of shot, something which has proven to be very useful already. Learning from a player with such a high level of ability is always going to be beneficial as the demonstrations are so good, but added to that is Jovan's knowledge, delivery and positive vibe, which made it hugely enjoyable. I would highly recommend Jovan's coaching to anyone!
