Mohamed Omar
Tennis has been an integral part of my life since the age of 9, during which time I devoted considerable effort to mastering this beloved sport. Although my junior tennis career was not without its challenges, I competed regularly and persevered despite less than ideal training conditions. Looking back, I recognize the importance of gaining a deeper understanding of the nuances of the game at a young age, as this is paramount to achieving success and fulfilment in the sport.

May 2022 – Present: Head Coach at EPQ International Tennis Academy
- Develop and implement comprehensive tennis and fitness programs for 16 players
- Travel with players to various tournaments, locally and internationally
- Since joining the team, contributed to winning 7 ITF Junior Professional titles.
- Help players achieve remarkable success on both local and international stages
- Design and execute effective training programs
2017 – May 2022: Tennis Coach at Anthony Harris Tennis Academy
- Coached high-performance players, including South Africa’s top tennis players
- Achieved numerous successes, including ITF juniors’ titles, TSA juniors and seniors’ titles, ATP challengers’ titles, and futures titles
- Ranked among the top 10 tennis academies in the world by Functional Tennis in 2019
- Developed a range of skills, including coaching, communication, and leadership
2015 – Early 2017: Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Sport Club
- Successfully coached both adult and young beginners
- Part of a program that introduced tennis to underprivileged youth in Dar es Salaam
- Continued coaching career after being stranded due to a political crisis in Burundi Bujumbura
2014 – Early 2015: Sparring Partner Burundi Bujumbura
- Honed tennis skills by playing with adult club members
- Began coaching beginners and quickly gained a reputation for providing high-quality guidance
