My father Roy Coopersmith has been my one and only coach.

Testimonial

I had an opportunity to host Niki at our place for several days as she competed in the pro ITF Challenger event in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. She showed great professionalism, and athletic and tennis abilities. She had a no-nonsense attitude to competition on the pro circuit and appeared comfortable and seasoned among other international athletes competing there. During some time off Niki spent some quality time with our young juniors training in my academy in Ottawa. It was quite apparent she had great connection with kids and they all really liked her quiet demeanour. I was glad I could help her dad at the time of difficult health challenges he was going through.

My name is Tom Downs. I am a professional coach originally from Australia. I have coached on the wta tour, women’s challenger circuit and ITF Junior Circuit. I met Nicole Coopersmith when she was 7 years old. She was a standout. She’s a Great ball striker, has phenomenal technique and tactical understanding of the game, she’s a great student of the game and was so even at such a young age and she’s just a delight to be on the court with. Her father has done a tremendous job coaching her. He developed her from the ground up. The things that stand out about Niki are that she has a great heart. She always helps others. She has tremendous character. I’ve always liked her work ethic and love for the game of tennis. When I’ve coached her on court (her father has always been the primary coached and I’ve periodically helped out) she’s always been very professional and respectful. With these traits she can have a great professional tennis career. She’s capable of being a top 10 wta player and winning grand slams. Many girls that Niki grew up with are currently top 20 in the world. There’s no reason Niki cannot still beat them and be a part of that company.
