Experience

2018-date: Head Coach Assistant, Deputy, Oman Tennis Association, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman: Responsibility for the Oman National Team, all categories including the Davis Cup team and the Fed Cup team.

Formulated group leadership strategy and informed decisions, especially for new methods and teaching systems:

  • Devised a 5-year executive teaching strategy to increase training process quality and results feasibility
  • Assessed and decided on key leadership initiatives to acquire and develop new national team members
  • Developed new long-term socio-economic channels to scout and recruit new talents under the age of 8 years

Strengthened association through evidence-based finance analysis, commercial models and partnership assessment:

  • Developed the cost review and management development mechanism in line with ITF tennis events
  • Key player in establishing the political and business justifications for entering into international tournaments
  • Led the contract negotiations with the key potentially important players acting in the interests of the country

Prepared and delivered Management Board presentations, along with various reports, market and industry studies:

  • Analysed the organisational curriculum of the association, especially in relation to the group budget set up
  • Managed a research project with focus on end-to-end development initiatives between players and coaches

Responsible for leadership of the team, external representation for the association and cross-functional collaboration:

  • Represented the association at official external meetings and on various events and tournaments
  • Managed and motivated 10 team members, and controlled the annual operational budget for the team

2018-2019: Personal Tennis Coach for Player Fatma Al Nabhani (WTA 362), Muscat, Oman: coach and sparring partner, focusing to increase tennis and fitness abilities.

  • Engaged with the player to set up 5-year development plan, based on thorough physical and mental preparation
  • Developed a tailored daily training plan in order to boost immediate performance and to long-term potential
  • Served as the personal consultant on healthy dietary planning to improve overall stamina and endurance
  • Managed training ad tournament schedule and accompanying the player outside the country

2012-2018: Director of the Tennis Academy, Co-owner of Tennis-One, Prague, Czech Republic: International tennis school with tennis commercial and professional areas, inside the professional tennis clubs.

  • Co-led academy set up and expansion pipeline, with initial long-term rental establishments across 5 tennis clubs
  • Commercial preparation in accord with the individual and group training lessons demands, including seasonality
  • Organised amateur tennis events, including sponsorship attraction both as one-off and as long-term partnerships
  • Advised on long-term training processes with professional junior players as well as with novice players
  • Regularly organised summer tennis camps for younger players under the age of 10 years
